We offer a two-hour assessment for children, ages 12 months - 48 months, who are considered at-risk or whose parents are concerned about a possible diagnosis. The screening follows VB-MAPP, which is a tool for assessing verbal and behaviour milestones. It also includes an observation of the child during play-based and structured activities. Parents are given a questionnaire and an interview is conducted, as parents play an essential role during the screening and intervention process. The goal of the screening and consultation is to provide families with clarity about their child’s needs and further steps. Referrals to other professionals, and recommendations of childcares and different centres for behaviour therapy can also be discussed. 

Our behaviour clinic supports children under 6 years of age with any behavioural concerns. Our therapists are well-versed in working with young children and know how to manage behaviours, with supervision from our senior therapist, as well as our clinical supervisor. At MW4K, we believe all children deserve to play and ensure they are part of a community. We offer programming that can take place within our community, such as creating comfort for children who are afraid of hand dryers, taking children to malls, and ensuring that they are able to function in similar ways to their peers. 

Every child requires some support when they are at school. Our therapists are able to accompany children at schools and support your child within the classroom.
